Right next to the old bridge was this lovely camp area..the host reccomended this as a good place to camp. I noticed upon pulling up, that indeed I would have the whole site to myself...pondering this, I quickly saw the probable reason why the place was wide open...-that night I could sleep next to the ghost of the CNW, and who knows whose other may ghost may come a 'callin here!!!! -Needless to say, I chose another spot quite a ways in the opposite direction!!!

Alan Fricker General Wikipedia says this was an active U.S. Army post until 1947. Lots of Indian Wars history in the area. 6/26/2014 9:36:00 PM
Marty Pfohl General Yes Alan, thank You for the info. I noticed that the lot next to the old siding /sighn also had some military equiptment sitting there so i would think the Army still has jurisdiction on the property. Overall, I highly suggest anyone to pay a visit there, it's well worth it! 6/27/2014 2:43:08 PM
