Title:  Not quite what i hoped for...
Description:  Shot on full telephoto from about a mile away and a fleeting moment of steadiness, 'thought I'd have a 'sure-fire shot' here..until in edit I saw the well placed speed limit sighn...Looking back east from the very west end of Cheyenne this set of UP power pulled forward to this point, stopped, and then backed out of sight. The old UP station's clock tower seen from this far seems to be leaning here....

Description:  Seen charging west out of Cheyenne, patchy and smoky UP Veteran SD 3201 shows she still has it AND the honour to lead her 2 visitors on an empty all Herzog ballast train. Likely the're going up the hill as far as Granite for a reload. Good work Uncle Pete!! -Almost 3 months after this photo, I was lucky to catch another UP/BNSF ballast move starring the 3201, as the next 3 photos attest!

Description:  Consecutively numbered pair UP's 3202 and 01 have just delivered a BNSF+CSX ballast train through downtown Cheyenne and onto BNSF trackage, now roll liesurely back onto UP territory. As the previous photo attests, these 2 UP's would have also been leader in taking thier empty Herzog train up the hill to Granite for loading.
